Supervising Field Work at Sindang Heula Dam

July 10, 2018

Sindang Heula Dam is a dam located in the province of Banten, in the district / city of Serang. The dam is planned to have a capacity of 9.26M³demapatkairapat land area of 748 Ha, reducing flood discharge of 50 M³ / sec, providing a raw water supply of 0.80 M³ / sec.  The Project commenced in 2014 with emalte already having been commissioned to build a dam inflow monitoring system.  Emalte had also recently been invited to submit a tender for a complete Dam Safety System to include the inflow monitoring system plus a public alert warning system.

Because the team at emalte has such extensive past experience and expertise in multiple applications in water level monitoring and early warning systems Mark travelled to Indonesia in May 2018 to meet with Heads of Dams in the region to present the Emalte Solution.   Mark's knowledge and expertise are such that before he knew it rather than sit around a table discussing how emalte could do the job, Mark and a team of local engineers had set out on-site to install the new Dam Inflow Monitoring System, which he had originally shipped over as a demo.   But as you can see from the happy faces in the gallery below - the general consensus was why wait, lets get on with the job and seal the deal and get it up and running in one visit.

It was a very successful and constructive visit to the Dam owners and Team at the Sindange Heula Dam, West Java.

If you would like to find out more information on Emalte's work at this Dam, please contact Mark Wolf as he is always happy to share his knowledge and experience.
